You'll notice most of the film is without flashy action sequences or military hardware. It didn't need it. Instead we communicated a simple truth - that Submariners are ordinary people just like us, who do extraordinary things to protect our country.

Most people don't know what they do. Some have never even heard of 'Submariners' before. After all, it’s a secretive job. So it was important to inspire people with their abilities (metaphorically speaking) and portraying Submariners as relatable, everyday individuals, making the role attainable for anyone with the right ambition.
